Station Announcement

Thanks to the investments of all who donated during our recent drive, over 36 challenges were met. We are now able to purchase 6 CD players, 8 microphones, 3 voice processors and 4 pairs of studio monitors, for our brand new studios.

Thank you for helping us equip our new broadcast studios. We look forward to inviting you down to tour our brand new home.

Supporters, join us for our Broadcast Center Grand Opening, Thursday, October 11.

This Wednesday is the midway point of our 2012 Fall Fund Drive, and you know what that means: WFIT's Pet Challenge!

Call in your pledge of support for your feathered, furry or scaly friend, during Sound Waves, from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. Tell the phone volunteer your pet's name and species, and we'll announce them on air. Plus, we're keeping tally - will it be left to the dogs or do the cat's have it? Cast your vote, and you'll be entered to win a special pet prize. Stay tuned for more...

Welcome WFIT Intern Heleni Orjales

Sep 7, 2012

After exploring different options, Heleni found her calling in the career of communication. Born and raised in San Juan, Puerto Rico, Heleni grew up surrounded by media. She was in a dance academy where she performed in front of audiences and competed against other dance companies. She was also a model and used to represent an important model agency in the island through contests, runway shows and television appearances.

Melbourne was the third stop in Obama's post-convention bus tour of Florida, on Sunday, Sept. 9th.

His Melbourne speech was given at the Charles & Ruth Clemente Center on campus at Florida Institute of Technology. See video of the President's Melbourne visit here.

WFIT would like to thank CP+A Drums for their generous drum set donation to the Performance Studio in our brand new broadcast center.

WFIT is a fan of local craftsmanship, which CP+A exemplifies. Located and manufactured in Melbourne Florida, and owned and operated by Jayce Amneus, CP+A Drums creates high quality hand made segment or stave drum sets and snare drums - all in house. Jayce says it best, "It is my goal to make high quality, unique drums and conduct business in an honest, friendly, and humble manner."
