Every morning in a government office building in Boulder, Colo., about a dozen people type a code into a door and line up against a wall on the other side. There are a couple of guys in military uniform, and some scientists in Hawaiian shirts. They work at the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, and they're here for a daily space weather forecast.

Moon Express

Cape Canaveral company Moon Express got $45-million to fund landing their spacecraft on the moon. And a shot at winning the Google Lunar XPRIZE.


The NASA CYGNSS satellites were ready for launch from Cape Canaveral Air Force Station.  The mission has been delayed for a second time this week.  The new launch date has yet to be determined.  WFIT's Rick Glasby reports the launch vehicle is a little unusual.

Lockheed Martin

The GOES-R satellite is the first in a new series of weather satellites that will provide images of weather patterns as fast as every 30 seconds.  The launch window opens Saturday, November 19th at 5:42 PM.  WFIT's Rick Glasby reports from the Kennedy Space Center.
