Although 2015 produced arguably fewer big headlines in classical music than its predecessors, there were still surprising stories.

NPR Music is bringing back their Tiny Desk contest, asking unknown bands and musicians all over the country to film themselves performing one song at a desk of their choice.

The contest will be sponsored for the second year by Lagunitas Brewing Company, and will secure a spot at the iconic performance space and a U.S. tour with NPR Music.
