Live Music

King Center for the Performing Arts

John Hiatt, who the Los Angeles Times calls “…one of rock’s most astute singer-songwriters of the last 40 years,” is a master lyricist and satirical storyteller. Hiatt’s songs have been recorded by artists as diverse as Bob Dylan, Bonnie Raitt (Thing Called Love), Emmylou Harris, Iggy Pop, Rosanne Cash (The Way We Make A Broken Heart), the Jeff Healey Band (Angel Eyes), and even the cartoon bear band of Disney’s film, The Country Bears.

Every third Saturday of the month the City of Palm Bay hosts a Concert in the Park, a series of concerts featuring various musical genres. These free concerts are held in Goode Park, 1300 Bianca Dr NE. Bring a blanket or lawn chair. Food provided by vendors. Music begins at 6pm.

Back by popular demand, the Space Coast Symphony Jazz Orchestra will turn up the heat once again this summer with a program that will highlight the artistry of some of the greatest arrangers and composers of our time. With their primary instrument being the big band, musicians such as Sammy Nestico, Billy May, and Ernie Wilkins are among those who have made significant contributions to the evolution of the art of the big band. With music from Goodman (as in Benny) to Goodwin (as in Gordon), this concert promises to be hot from start to finish.
