holiday events

Friday, December 16 we will have an early visit by Santa Claus some of his elves to talk about this year’s Surfing Santas. This event brings together hundreds of Santas to ride the waves in Cocoa Beach on Christmas Eve morning.

We’ll talk with Santa and hear Anna Lusk perform her song Oh Surfin’ Santa on Sound Waves Fri at noon.

The Surfing Santas has become a holiday tradition in Cocoa Beach since 2009. Hundreds of Surfing Santas will bring their finest surfing sleds to shred some waves on Christmas Eve.

They’re back! The Omaha Community Playhouse, via its professional touring wing, the Nebraska Theatre Caravan, is returning with their unique version of Charles Dickens’ A Christmas Carol. This Victorian version of Christmas magic is presented with a full array of traditional Christmas carols interwoven with the well-known story. Each carol was chosen for the dramatic atmosphere it contributes to the total evening.

The Space Coast Symphony Holiday for Everyone concludes with a FREE finale event outside the Carmike Theater.  A candlelight procession of carolers will join the orchestra on stage to Wish You a Merry Christmas, in a concert extravaganza featuring dozens of musicians, singers, ballet dancers and of course, Santa Claus himself.
