Florida Institute of Technology’s Foosaner Art Museum presents Ukiyo-e to Shin Hanga: Japanese Woodcuts from the Syracuse University Art Collection, from March 28 through May 24.

The 40-piece exhibition highlights the designed images of over 20 influential Japanese artists from key times in the country’s cultural history: the height of color Ukiyo-e printmaking (1780-1868) through the Meiji period (1868-1912) to 20th century impressions of the Shin Hanga movement (1915-1940s).

'Frida Kahlo: Through the Lens of Nickolas Muray', opens Saturday, January 10 and will run through March 22 at the Foosaner Art Museum.                                              

This unique and powerful exhibition of photographic profiles provides an intimate look at Frida Kahlo, Mexico's most prolific and well-known female artist. 

On the opening day of the exhibit, Saturday, Jan. 10, the museum will host Frida Family Day, a day-long museum festival filled with family oriented activities.

It's time to unleash your inner artist! Art Classes and Workshops at the Renee Foosaner Education Center begin Monday, January 14 and registration is underway.

Florida Institute of Technology’s Foosaner Art Museum is participating in Fall for the Arts on Friday, October 5th from 5-8:30 p.m. with Jazz Friday.  Presented by the Brevard Cultural Alliance, the event is a celebration of Brevard's arts and cultural community. The family-friendly street party takes place in the Eau Gallie Arts District, Melbourne.

Foosaner Art Museum Presents German Impressionist Ernst Oppler

The Foosaner Art Museum presents a comprehensive exhibition of the work of Ernst Oppler (German, 1867 – 1929). The exhibit runs Sept. 15 through Jan. 6, 2013.

Oppler studied and worked in Munich, London, Holland and France but eventually settled in Berlin. He became an active member of the Berlin Secession, a group of artists who championed the new, Impressionist style.
