Eau Gallie Arts District's First Friday Art Walk goes to the dogs Friday, August 3rd when the district celebrates the Dog Days of Summer. Local canines are invited to tag along with their human friends during this family friendly event. Local businesses will be providing water for the canine walkers.
Art lovers can enjoy a leisurely stroll while perusing the galleries, shops and displays from 5:30 till 8 p.m. A free concert by The Bone Dogs takes place in the band shell and will set the mood.
If you like vintage style Cuban art, mark your calendar for "Cuban Daydreams: Dionel Delgado Gonzalez". The exhibit opens Saturday, July 14th and runs through Sunday, September 9 at the Foosaner Art Museum in the Eau Gallie Arts District
Jazz Friday at the Foosaner Art Museum features Matt Heister Friday, June 1 from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. Matt is the popular host of Freedom in the Groove, broadcast Mondays from 10 p.m. till midnight on WFIT, 89.5 FM. Jazz Friday coincides with the Foosaner Art Museum’s opening reception for Florida Artists From The Permanent Collection which runs June 1 – July 8. Enjoy live jazz with Matt Heister as you view the new exhibit. Matt will be joined by musicians Casey Dodd, Steven Frieder and Richard Dexler.

They discuss the brand new exhibit at the Foosaner Art Museum and the summer camps coming up at the Foosaner Education Center. The Winston Scott Jazz Ensemble performs at the Foosaner Art Museum’s Jazz Friday on April 6. Capt. Winston Scott is a trumpet playing astronaut who is also Senior Vice President for External Relations at Florida Institute of Technology. Jazz Fridays are held from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. in the museum galleries.
