A Taste of Jazz on WFIT

A Taste Of Jazz is mainstream jazz at its best. The classic sounds are highlighted with artists like Davis, Coltrane, Brubeck and Mingus as well as the contemporary sounds of today’s headliners like Brad Mehladu, Stacy Dillard, Joshua Redman and so many others. Contemporary big bands are sprinkled in and we don’t shy away from tasteful jazz vocalists. What you won’t hear is smooth jazz or recordings prior to the 1950’s. The emphasis here is good jazz without a whole lot of chatter.
