Angel Vasquez

Daniel Ata-Diaz, majoring in Pre-Med at Florida Tech, stopped by the WFIT studios to participate in an International Student Spotlight.  He spoke with EJ Castor, program host, about the many activities he's involved in, such at the Student Government Association.  Daniel is interested in pursuing medicine in order to help those in need.  He is following his father's footsteps who is a doctor in Venezuela.  During the interview, he also discussed his family's history. On his father's side, his family is originally from Lebanon and retained their mother tongue, Arabic.

Obinna (Obi) Uyanna, majoring in Mechanical Engineering and specializing in Thermal and Fluid Sciences, participated in a Florida Tech International Student Spotlight (scheduled to air on 22 July 2015).  Obi is a member of the Nigerian Igbo Tribe and the information he shares regarding his culture and the annual festivals is incentive to book a flight to Nigeria just to taste the food first-hand and participate in the annual Yam Festival.  Obi's perspective on university life is inspirational.

Diego Silva, from Brazil and pursuing a PhD in Computer Science at Florida Tech, stopped by the WFIT studios to participate in an International Student Spotlight.  Diego spoke with EJ Castor, program host, about the difficulty in leaving behind his fiancée and his family to come to the United States in pursuit of his PhD.  Diego's education is funded by the Brazilian government, a program for which he had to apply to and for which he had to qualify in order to participate.  Diego spoke to members of the Palm Bay / Melbourne Brazilian community in his native language, Portuguese.

Angel Vasquez

Aabha Sant is an international student from India and stopped by the WFIT studios to participate in an International Student Spotlight.  Aabha spoke with EJ Castor about her passion in wanting to clean up the Indian coastline.  Aabha is majoring in both Marine Biology and Conservation Biology and Ecology.  We look forward to hearing about Aabha's future accomplishments.

Nicole Bueno, a Florida Tech Undergraduate Student majoring in Chemical Engineering, stopped by the WFIT studios to talk with EJ Castor, show host, about her country, the Dominican Republic.  Nicole spoke of the beautiful beaches in the Dominican Republic and invites us all to visit her country.
