Coastal Connection

Produced by WFIT's General Manager, Terri Wright, Coastal Connection serves as your spotlight on the community. Each 5- min edition of Coastal Connection showcases a special event and/or not-for-profit organization in Brevard County, Florida.

The Cuba Gallery of Fine Art presents a pop-up art exhibition"Castro Era Art...Before the Thaw" February 5th through the 8th at 1420 Highland Ave in the EGAD Arts District.  Over 100 original paintings, drawings, serigraphs and etchings will be on display for sale.  The show will run for four days only from 1pm until 6 pm.

The Eau Gallie Arts District and Eau Gallie Rotary Club are once again co-hosting Eau Gallie Founders’ Day in the Eau Gallie Square on Saturday, February 7, 2015.   The event begins at noon and will feature a Historical Garden, vendors, live music, great food and beer from Intracoastal Brewing Company.    Dinner Tickets and more info:

Celebrate the Season with the Haitian Community Christmas Party at St Joseph's Catholic Church, 5330 Babcock St Palm Bay.  This family friendly event begins at 7 pm on Saturday December 20th and will feature authentic Haitian music, food, and dance.  Everyone is invited to celebrate and help them raise funding for their Haitian outreach work in our community.  For tickets and more information 321 337-2736

Adopt-an-Ambassador Program

Need a gift for that person who has everything? Adopt one or more of our Educational Ambassadors! Choose one of our five owls, a Kestrel, a Gopher Tortoise, a Box Turtle, or our Red Rat Snake and help provide food, training, housing and medical care. Adoptive parents will receive a photograph of their animal, certificate of adoption, a fact sheet about the species, and an email invitation to any public event where their ambassador will be appearing. Adoptions are for a one-year period; multi-year adoptions are also available.  More info

The Florida Wildlife Hospital & Sanctuary is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to Florida's wildlife in need.
