Florida Tech's Family Learning Program provides no cost treatment services for child sexual abuse victims and their families. Group therapy is based upon the age and developmental level of the victim, siblings, and caregivers and the following groups are offered: young children, pre-teen, teen, siblings, and Non-offending Caregiver (NOC).
In this edition of Coastal Connection, board member Jim Parks and founder/artistic director Crystal Bujol of The Gifford Youth Orchestra talk about the organization's upcoming annual concert and 10th anniversary. The Gifford Youth Orchestra provides education, experience, and training in various cultural and performing arts, including music, drama, dance, and the vocal arts for the youth of Gifford and neighboring Indian River County Communities in an effort to break the cycle of poverty. The annual concert will be held on Saturday, November 2nd at 2:00 p.m. at the Vero Beach Emerson Center.
In this edition of Coastal Connection, executive director of Space Coast Early Intervention Center, Leslie Roth, introduces the center's anniversary celebration on Nov. 9 at the Hilton Rialto from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tim Wakefield will be on hand to draw the winning ticket for a 50/50 raffle with a guaranteed $10,000 cash giveaway and present a Lifetime Achievement Award to Betsy Farmer, who founded the organization. The event will feature live music, games and giveaways and is free to the public.
