Tim Renshaw will be Dave Fries' special guest on A Taste of Jazz Monday, April 21. Tim is an accomplished pianist with a vocal style all his own and will bring a touch of jazz roots to public radio.
A native of South Dakota, Tim has a colorful history in music from rock to country, from blues to jazz. His style is unique and his jazz is true.

Bill Kirchner on Freedom in the Groove at 10pm
Bill Kirchner’s expertise spans across all facets of the jazz world: His arrangements have been recorded by Dizzy Gillespie and Lee Konitz, his books The Oxford Companion To Jazz and A Miles Davis Reader are well-respected pieces of literature in jazz education, his lyrical saxophone playing can be heard in acclaimed groups with Sheila Jordan and Marc Copland, his radio show credits include writing and producing Jazz Profiles for NPR and over 125 segments for WBGO’s Jazz From the Archives series.
