Singer/songwriter Maddy Winer will join me next Monday on A Taste of Jazz. Winer toured as a headliner in the stage show “North Carolina Is My Home,” written by and starring Loonix McGlohon and Charles Kuralt, which NPR aired as a television special.
Performing contemporary selections from the Great American Songbook she has become known for her effortless interpretation of jazz styling and has developed a loyal following.
Ms. Winer has opened for Dave Brubeck, Lou Rawls, David Sanborn, Joe Sample, George Shearing, Al Jarreau, Ellis Marsalis and a host of others. We look forward to an informal discussion of her experiences, her music and her love of jazz.
