St. Augustine's Sing Out Loud Music Festival, the largest free music festival ever held in St. Johns County, returns for three weekends in September 2017. With hundreds of musical acts over three weekends on multiple stages, including the St. Augustine Amphitheatre, the Colonial Oak Music Park, Mardi Gras, Hoptinger, Tempo Bistro, and many more, the Sing Out Loud Festival is well on its way to becoming a signature event in northeast Florida.
The 2017 Sing Out Loud Music Festival will include performances by Steve Earle & The Dukes, Lake Street Dive, Wolf Parade, Dirty Dozen Brass Band, Los Lobos, Justin Townes Earle, and a dozen more, as well as an impressive regional and local lineup. All the concerts are free, and they will take place over three weekends: September 8, 9, and 10; September 15, 16, and 17; and September 22, 23, and 24.
The second annual Sing Out Loud Festival brings together a diverse group of local and national musical artists, with musical genres that range from Texas outlaw country and New Orleans brass and funk to alternative indie rock, Americana, bluegrass, punk, and more. The inaugural festival in 2016 attracted an estimated 15,000 music fans and featured 315 performing artists. This year's festival should be even more impressive, with a host of acclaimed national touring artists as well as some of the best talent from St. Augustine's well respected local music scene. Local and regional artists that will participate in this year's event are Billy Buchanan, the Emma Moseley Band, Michael Jordan, Sam Pacetti, This Frontier Needs Heroes, The Young Step, Chillula, the Wild Shiners, and the Wobbly Toms, just to name a few.
