Simone & The Supercats Kick Off Spring Fund Drive

WFIT's 2013 Spring Fund Drive will get off to a rockin' start this Friday, March 15 at noon, when Simone & The Supercats join Todd Kennedy for a live broadcast session during Sound Waves.

A fun, edgy, personable band with a larger-than-life-attitude make Simone and The Supercats a versatile and amazingly unique touring band. Dubbed 'The hardest working band in Central Florida" this power-pop trio perform nightly, honing their skills in front of thousands of people each month.

Simone can wail like Janis or purr like Chrissie Hynde. She's young, smart, qualified, sexy and independent. She "has one of the most unique sounds in Florida" (Wes Cambron, Tampa Examiner) and Steve Gilmore (Rebel Riffs) said that "Simone has the look, has the voice, and has the songs".

Simone's strong passion for writing and producing original music has garnered numerous awards but it's their alter-ego cover band, The Supercats, which makes touring possible.

Be sure to tune in to Sound Waves at noon this Friday, March 15th. You'll enjoy a live session with the Best Original Band in Brevard and hopefully be inspired to call in a pledge to help support the music and programming you've come to know and love.

If you've been meaning to call and volunteer to answer phones during the drive, please visit Volunteer Spot and check out  the schedule. We have lots of slots that need to be filled during the weekend.

Thank you from all of us at WFIT 89.5 FM.
