Russian Masters: Brevard Symphony Orchestra Nov 19

King Center for the Performing Arts

Travel to Russia and beyond with this colorful program of Romantic favorites by three of the greatest Russian Masters of all time. Fanfare trumpets announce the opening of Tchaikovsky’s thrilling Polonaise from his opera Eugene Onegin. Audience favorite Terrence Wilson returns to the King Center stage to perform one of the most beloved concertos ever written – Rachmaninoff’s Second Piano Concerto. After intermission, Nikolai Rimsky-Korsakov transports us to a different place and time with his evocative Scheherazade – a masterful setting of the Tales of 1001 Nights that is a marvelous showcase for the entire orchestra.
