One Book Brevard: The Age Of Miracles At Cocoa Beach Public Library

Did you know that Brevard County Libraries are encouraging Space Coast residents to participate in One Book Brevard, a community celebration of reading this summer?

The program is designed to encourage residents to deepen their appreciation of reading by reading the same book and engaging in book discussions and associated events. The Age of Miracles by Karen Thompson Walker was chosen as the One Book Brevard selection.

The Cocoa Beach Public Library is particularly proud and pleased to participate in this community-wide program and believes that The Age of Miracles is an excellent choice to unite readers of all ages and experience. The novel has been racking up rave reviews and glowing reader testimony.

NPR's Fresh Air recently aired a segment on the book and describes it as a "pensive page-turner that meditates on loss and the fragility of both our planetary and personal ecosystems".

New York Times best-selling author Karen Thomas Walker will be visiting the Cocoa Beach Library on Tuesday, June 25th at 7 p.m.

New York Times bestselling author Karen Thompson Walker will speak at Cocoa Beach Public Library on Tuesday, June 25th at 7 p.m.

Walker will sign copies of her phenomenal work of fiction and will discuss the book's genesis and relevance in today's world. Walker will also be speaking at the Eau Gallie Public Library June 24th at 7 p.m. and the DeGroodt Library at 2 p.m. on June 25th.
