Join WFIT's Team at the Hunger Project's World's Largest Packing Event

The Children's Hunger Project, a local non-profit helping to feed Brevard's children, will be staging the world's largest packing event on Saturday, February 8, on the Florida Tech campus. Join WFIT's team for a one-hour shift starting at 10 a.m. by emailing us!

Who: You, Health First, the United Way and The Children's Hunger Project

What: The world's largest packing event

When: Saturday, February 8, 7:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

Where: Clemente Center on the campus of Florida Tech

Why: To help alleviate childhood hunger and malnutrition with elementary school age kids in Brevard County

Health First, United Way and The Children's Hunger Project invite you and your team to join over 2,000 volunteers in addressing the hunger and malnutrition problem with our young kids in Brevard County. Help put together 25,000 packages of food with a value of over $100,000!

Packages will be used to help feed kids for the current school year and to support the "Feed and Read" programs of United Way next summer.

Include the team name (CenterPointe Church, Rotary of Suntree, GE Volunteers, for example), team leader's name, phone number and e-mail address plus the number of people you anticipate being on the team. Volunteer teams (adults and kids) of all sizes are welcome to join us in this historic event.

You can be a "team" of just one.
