The Helmsmen joined us last month for a Live In Studio Session.

The Helmsmen’s sound is a unique blend of Indie, Island, Surf Rock, and Folk tones, which were first heard on their debut release, The Homework EP (released June 6, 2015). “Rollercoaster,” the band’s leading single off their second EP, “Midterm,” was released April 8.

Originally from Boston, Todd Kennedy began volunteering at WFIT 89.5 FM in 1992 as a late night jazz DJ. In 1998 he was hired as Director of Operations and in 2004 he became Program Director until his retirement in 2022.
