Free Speech Week at Florida Tech

Celebrate the First Amendment with Free Speech Week.

This year’s Free Speech Week celebration spans four days—Feb. 20-23.

Events include keynote with Pulitzer Prize-winning, Hurricane Katrina photojournalist Ted Jackson, a workshop on accessing and using government documents, a free meal—a slice from Old School Pizza or a sub from Jersey Mike’s—that only costs participants’ Firsts Amendment rights, a panel discussion between Florida Tech professors on academic freedom and tenure, a debate with attorney Michael Kahn and Florida Today journalists about the First Amendment and a free speech wall accompanied by free cookies.

The First Amendment celebration is free and open to the public.

The event is sponsored by Old School Pizza, Jersey Mike’s Subs, and the Florida Tech School of Arts and Communication.
