FLorida Wildlife Hospital Needs Help for Flight Cage

  Help Our Seabirds

Seabird season for FWH is usually in the winter when our northern neighbors migrate to warmer waters for the winter. After recovery, an important step in their rehabilitation is flight strengthening prior to release.  Our seabird pre-release enclosure was damaged by a storm this summer.  This was an expense we did not expect so did not have time to write a grant to rebuild it.  We have started a GoFundMe campaign to help rebuild the enclosure. Did you know? If you find a baby squirrel, mom will often times return to get them. Usually squirrels have more than one nest.  If one gets destroyed and the babies fall out, mom will retrieve them and take them to another nest.  If you can leave them in an area out of harm's way and give mom a few hours to return, it's much better for the babies.  We do our best but we can't replace mom.
