Film Screening in Observance of Women's History Month - "Iron Jawed Angels"

In observance of Women’s History Month, the film Iron Jawed Angels will be screened on Tuesday, March 24, 5:30 pm at The Mansion, 1218 East New Haven Avenue, Melbourne. The event is co-hosted by Brevard NOW and The Brevard County Association for Women Lawyers.  The evening is free and open to the public with a $5 suggested donation for Brevard’s homeless women.

IRON JAWED ANGELS tells the remarkable and little-known story of political suffragist leaders Alice Paul and Lucy Burns as they use peaceful and effective nonviolent strategies, tactics, and dialogues to revolutionize the American feminist movement to grant women the right to vote.

IRON JAWED ANGELS is a formidable testament to the sacrifices and the blood shed for women's enfranchisement. The film brims with issues still relevant today. Please RSVP to President@BrevardNow.org.
More information can be found at Brevard Now’s website, www.brevardnow.org or by calling 321-720-3520.
