Fifth Avenue Art Gallery Celebrates Barbara Burkhardt, 2011 Winner Of 100% Pure Florida
Join Fifth Avenue Art Gallery on Friday, June 1st when they showcase the success of Barbara Burkhardt, the gallery’s 2011 Winner of 100% Pure Florida. The Exhibit Opening is from 5:30 to 8 p.m. during EGAD’s First Friday Art Walk.
Barbara lives on Merritt Island and states that after painting realistic watercolors for the past fifteen years she finds herself moving in a different direction. The most drastic change in her work is moving her from realism to abstract. Her paintings have been described as being full of texture, rich color and patterns which create a deep history that goes well below and deep away from the surface. Her artwork is an unlimited source of mystery and intrigue.
Barbara Burkhard’s Opening at Fifth Avenue Art Gallery coincides with the Foosaner Art Museum’s Opening of Artists from the Permanent Collection.
It’s also Jazz Friday at the Museum and Public Radio WFIT’s Jazz Host, Matt Heister will perform.
The Fifth Avenue Art Gallery, the premier member gallery in Brevard County, was established in 1975. It is artist owned and operated.
