Cocoa Beach Library To Host Sea-Bean Symposium and Beachcomber's Festival 2014

The 19th Annual International Sea-Bean Symposium and Beachcomber's Festival will be held at the Cocoa Beach Public Library on Friday and Saturday, October 17 and 18.

Dedicated sea-beaners, amateur and professional driftologists, and beach-lovers hailing from all corners of the world will again descend on the Cocoa Beach Library for two days of fascinating displays and engaging presentations.

The two-day festival offers talks on basic beachcombing, how to handle stranded marine animals, sand composition, sea turtles, and a documentary on beachcombing abroad, as well as chances to meet the artists and authors who use the ocean’s treasures as inspiration.

The Sea-Bean Symposium is a gathering for novices and professionals, for the curious and the expert, for anyone interested in a fun, inclusive atmosphere for learning about and enjoying our coastal home.

More information about presenters and the schedule of events can be found at the Cocoa Beach Public Library or at the website www.seabean.com/symposium/2014.

The library is located at 550 N. Brevard Ave., Cocoa Beach, FL 32931. For more information call 868-1104.
