Celebrating Indialantic’s History – Eastminster’s Role

EMPC-Postcard

The Indialantic Heritage Committee invites the community to a lively celebration of Indialantic's history on Saturday, March 7 at Eastminster Presbyterian Church. The event runs from 2-4 p.m. and is free and open to the public.

In the first months of 1952, a group of residents formed the Indialantic Civic Association and the following fall the Town of Indialantic was born. The seaside town celebrated 50 years of incorporation on November 16, 2002. The 50thAnniversary Celebration Steering Committee quickly realized that the community had a tremendous interest in the fascinating history of their town. The town council agreed and in May 2003 the town’s Heritage Committee was established.

Every year the Heritage Committee offers the community a program dealing with Indialantic life and history. This year the focus is on Eastminster Presbyterian Church. It was not only the first church in Indialantic, but served as the place where residents who were eager to incorporate the town met to organize.

Come enjoy a  lively afternoon with music, a historical conversation that will include members of the audience, a campus tour, and refreshments.

2:00 to 4:00 PM - March 7, 2015

Open to the public and the admission is free.
