King Center for the Performing Arts

Audience Choice!
Samuel Barber – Violin Concerto – Elmar Oliveira, violin
Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky - Symphony No. 1

Christopher Confessore, Music Director & Principal Conductor

Message from the Maestro:
Next up, on November 21st, we’re excited to perform Tchaikovsky’s rarely-heard First Symphony, Winter Dreams. We’ll also be joined by violinist Elmar Oliveira in a performance of Samuel Barber’s Violin Concerto. Many consider Mr. Oliveira’s recording of the Barber to be the definitive interpretation of the work. The votes have all been counted – this concert opens with a work selected by an audience vote.

Will there be Concert Conversations with Chris Confessore for this concert? Yes
