Now more than ever, WFIT could use your help during our ongoing Fall Fund Drive. We rely on our listeners to donate, and we’re pleased to offer some great premiums in return for your generosity. In the middle of each of our fund drives there's one playful day dedicated to those furry, feathered and scaly friends in our lives - Pet Wars. This special day is an opportunity for you to call in your donation, and get two valuable benefits for the price of one: become a member of the Space Coast’s only public radio station, and have your pet represented on-air.
We'll be keeping tally of the pets, in a feisty competition for the species that gets the most calls of support. The last Pet Wars turned out to be the cat’s pajamas. Canine public radio fans came in a close second, followed by the fish in third place. In previous Pet Wars we've raised support from chickens, donkeys and even a pond full of minnows!
This time around, we're also offering a chance for you to dedicate a portion of your donation to a Brevard County animal non-profit. Talk to the phone volunteer for more information.
