Todd Kennedy

Program Director / Sound Waves Host

Originally from Boston, Todd Kennedy began volunteering at WFIT 89.5 FM in 1992 as a late night jazz DJ. In 1998 he was hired as Director of Operations and in 2004 he became Program Director.

As Program Director, he is responsible for formulating the sound of the station. His daily duties include managing broadcast communications, operating satellite services and broadcast automation systems. He is also in charge of overseeing all studio productions and digital editing.

He also plays an important role in coordinating fundraising materials, outreach events and underwriting activities. He trains and supervises community volunteers and on-air hosts, and has been seeing doing a little plumbing and vacuuming on the side.

Todd’s energy and great passion for music can be enjoyed every Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Sound Waves, the show he has been hosting since January 2006.

Ways to Connect

Congratulations to our Garage Band winners The Spring!

See them perform live at our Sonic Waves Music Festival April 14th at the Intracoastal Brewing Company

WFIT will be adding some new shows to our programming line-up on February 16. Lucy of Lucy’s Sonic Garage will be moving to Friday Nights 7pm-10pm. Rebranded as The Lucy Show, Lucy will bring a good time rock & roll party to the airwaves.

The Friday night party will continue as we welcome Eta Santoro to WFIT. Many of you met Eta when she helped during our last fund drive. Eta was a DJ at her college radio station WITR Rochester, NY.
