Rose Mantle

Public Service Announcement Director, Community Outreach

After serving as a volunteer, Rose Mantle joined the staff of WFIT in 2007.  As Public Service Announcement Director, Rose writes copy for the hundreds of announcement requests WFIT receives from the Space Coast and Treasure Coast communities.  She also serves as community outreach coordinator and intern supervisor, contributes to WFIT's website and social media, and writes the Brevard County Community Cultural Grant for the station.

Before moving to Melbourne Beach from Sonoma, California, Rose worked in advertising and communications, first as an account executive for the Sonoma Index-Tribune, a venerable local newspaper, and at ValPak Direct Marketing where Rose expanded her love of language and honed the skills necessary for her many duties at WFIT.

Rose attended Orange Coast Community College in Costa Mesa, California and earned her bachelor’s degree in English at Sonoma State University in 1976.

WFIT is an integral and rewarding part of Rose’s life in Florida.  She is deeply proud of her position with this National Public Radio affiliate.  Rose takes great pleasure in assisting non-profit organizations promote their philanthropic and cultural missions.  Most rewarding is working alongside the tight knit and creative community of the WFIT staff and volunteers.

When not busy with her duties at the station, Rose enjoys music, reading, gardening, exercise, and playing the piano.  She travels with her husband to California twice a year to spend time with lifelong friends and family.
