Proud parents. Panther pride. Anticipation and excitement. All are in abundance at Florida Institute of Technology as the start of the fall semester approaches. An estimated 4,762 undergraduate and graduate students will begin their classes on Florida Tech’s Melbourne campus on Monday, Aug. 17, a total representing a 3.1 percent increase from the same time one year ago.

Florida Institute of Technology assistant professor Spencer Fire and researchers from lead agency Georgia Aquarium and other conservation partners recently completed a study to better understand the health of Atlantic bottlenose dolphins in the Indian River Lagoon.

Students of all ages have spent their summer learning and creating at Florida Institute of Technology’s Pop Art camps at the Renee Foosaner Education Center.
