Take the radio journey every Sunday from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. with Fred Migliore on FM Odyssey. Week after week, since 1991, this syndicated, creatively-themed show has been feeding your soul with emerging artists, rock legends, and in depth interviews with over 500 musicians ranging from Crosby, Stills & Nash, Dan Fogelberg, to Laura Nyro, Jimmy Webb and Glen Campbell. FM Odyssey is heard on over 40 Public and NPR stations each week, and it all began right here on WFIT.
American Variety Radio™ first aired as a weekly talk show with host Court Lewis on Melbourne, Florida’s WMEL-AM920 in February 2004. After more than 3 years on the AM airwaves across Central Florida, the show joined the program lineup of WFIT-FM, at the Florida Institute of Technology. Building on that base, American Variety has expanded to several other Public Radio stations around Florida and the Southeast U.S.
A Taste Of Jazz is mainstream jazz at its best. The classic sounds are highlighted with artists like Davis, Coltrane, Brubeck and Mingus as well as the contemporary sounds of today’s headliners like Brad Mehladu, Stacy Dillard, Joshua Redman and so many others. Contemporary big bands are sprinkled in and we don’t shy away from tasteful jazz vocalists. What you won’t hear is smooth jazz or recordings prior to the 1950’s. The emphasis here is good jazz without a whole lot of chatter.
Morning Edition provides news in context, airs thoughtful ideas and commentary, and reviews important new music, books, and events in the arts. All with voices and sounds that invite listeners to experience the stories.
