On this edition of Inside Florida Tech, Wes Sumner talks with the president of Florida Tech, Dr. Anthony Catanese. They discuss the hot topic of rising tuition costs. Catanese reveals Florida Tech’s plans to lead in new and innovative ways, avoiding the trend of tuition increases.
Each year 71 percent of Florida Tech’s graduates receive a STEM degree (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math). Catanese goes on to explain how he plans to reward students who wish to study in a STEM program and how he plans to fund it.

Each year this festival continues to grown and this year is no exception. Florida Tech estimates over 2,000 people attend this event.
This festival will include onstage performances, cultural displays, food and much more.
On this edition of Inside Florida Tech, Wes Sumner talks with Carla Funk, the director of University Museums at Florida Tech. They discuss the annual textile symposium Uncommon Threads, hosted every year in February. As you will hear, this year’s theme is mod-fashion.
Following the lecture there will be fun activities such as a British lunch-in and a silent auction to raise money for the Ruth Center of Textile Arts.
