Botanical Fest at Florida Tech, Saturday March 1

What better way to welcome spring than to refurbish yards and gardens? Just in time to do the job are a wide range of plant and accessory choices at Florida Institute of Technology's 9th annual Botanical Fest Plant and Garden Sale.  Featuring a wide selection of plants, ornamentals, fruit trees, flowers, tropicals and more.

8 a.m. - 4 p.m.

Holly Chichester, Horticulturalist and Manager of FL tech's grounds shares details about the event.

The annual event will showcase some of Florida’s finest plant and garden vendors, offering palms, exotics, native plants, ornamental shrubs, bamboo and flowering plants. Free guided tours of the Botanical Garden will take place throughout the day, and master gardeners will be on hand to answer gardening questions. Food and beverages will be available for purchase.

The Fest is located on Crawford Green. Signs on both West University Boulevard and Country Club Road will point the way.

The Cook Trio Live On Sound Waves This Friday

Sound Waves is pleased to announce a performance with The Cook Trio on Friday, Feb. 21 at 1:00 pm.

The Cook Trio composed of brothers Ian and Jason Cook on guitar, and Kyle Jones on bass. With myriad influences from Coltrane to Monk, their music brings an American perspective to Gypsy jazz in the style of Django Reinhart. Join us on Friday afternoon as we imagine we are sitting in a small café in Paris, France.
