Great news: WFIT’s new studio construction has finally begun!
“The WFIT staff is very excited about the beginning of construction on the brand new 5000 square foot facility. WFIT’s new home will house six broadcast studios, including a performance studio. We appreciate all the support and donations of those who have helped make this possible” says WFIT General Manager Terri Wright.
MH Williams was awarded the contract, and are currently in the process of moving utility lines within the footprint of the building. This new addition to the Florida Tech campus will be adjacent to Gleason Auditorium. Construction updates to follow.
Join us Monday night, February 6th at 10:00 p.m. for an interview with tenor sax man Joel Frahm. It will be a fun discussion with a truly original voice on saxophone. We'll hear music from his latest albums, and we'll also learn about his experiences with other major artists including Brad Mehldau, Kurt Rosenwinkle, and Matt Wilson.
Black bears and panthers are two of Florida’s imperiled wildlife species. Both are facing a daunting obstacle to their survival: Habitat fragmentation caused by development like roadways, subdivisions and shopping malls.
Florida Tech has a diverse student body with enrollment from over one hundred different countries. WFIT’s International Student Spotlight is an ongoing series created to celebrate individuals from across the globe.
