Head To Market With WFIT Feb. 4

Market Day is back!

WFIT is hosting Market Day on Tuesday, February 4th from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.! The market will be outside the WFIT Broadcast Center, next to Florida Tech's Crawford Building on W. University Boulevard.

A potpourri of products will be available for purchase including plants and produce, local honey, cookies and cakes, jelly and cheese spreads, organic dog treats, furniture, candles soaps and more!

Dave Fries' Jazz Pick- Bill McBirnie Trio

Consummate Canadian jazz and Latin flutist Bill McBirnie has released a new album (his sixth) which departs, in a significant way, from all three of his previously acclaimed acoustic jazz projects (Mercy with Robi Botos; Paco Paco with Bernie Senensky; and Nature Boy with Mark Eisenman). On Find Your Place, Bill has placed the flute in a very unlikely setting—as part of an organ trio!

Eau Gallie Founder’s Day Fish Fry February 15, 2014

The 4th Annual Eau Gallie Founders Day Fish Fry is set for noon to 5 pm Saturday, Feb. 15, in Eau Gallie Square at the corner of Highland Avenue and Eau Gallie Boulevard.

Eric Turner, Pastor of St. John's Episcopal Church and President of Eau Gallie Rotary Club and Vicky Dorman, Executive Director of Eau Gallie Arts District outline the day's highlights.

A joint project of the Eau Gallie Arts District Main Street and the Eau Gallie Rotary Club, the event will feature fried fish dinners prepared by Squid Lips Overwater Grill, live music in the bandstand by Country

P.E.O. Hosts Ladies Tea To Benefit Women's Education

P.E.O. is a philanthropic, educational organization of women for women.  Saturday February 22nd, is the date of their Ladies Afternoon Tea.  The event will be held at the First United Methodist Church from 2-4pm.  For tickets, call 321 727-2976.

Service, the Film When Women come Marching Home

SERVICE, the film, portrays the courage of several women veterans as they transition from active duty to their civilian lives. We see the horrific traumas they faced, their invisible as well as physical injuries and all their challenges in receiving benefits and care. 

Marcia Rock, Produce/Director of the film talks about the challenges women veterans face when returning from duty.

From the deserts of Afghanistan to rural Tennessee, from Iraq to New York City, we watch these women wrestle with prosthetics, homelessness, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder and Military Sexual Trauma.
