CRC Public Hearing

The Constitution Revision Commission (CRC) will be traveling the state to listen to input from Floridians about potential changes to the Florida Constitution.  All interested Floridians are invited to participate in a public hearing on Monday, February 19, from 1:00 to 7:00 pm at The King Center in Melbourne.

Those planning to attend are respectfully requested to observe CRC Public Hearing Participation Guidelines.

WFIT will be adding some new shows to our programming line-up on February 16. Lucy of Lucy’s Sonic Garage will be moving to Friday Nights 7pm-10pm. Rebranded as The Lucy Show, Lucy will bring a good time rock & roll party to the airwaves.
The Friday night party will continue as we welcome Eta Santoro to WFIT. Many of you met Eta when she helped during our last fund drive. Eta was a DJ at her college radio station WITR Rochester, NY.

Space exploration, astronomy, cosmology and cosmogony: none of these were what Gustav Holst had in mind when he composed The Planets a little more than a century ago.

Curiously enough, however, the imagery of his music has become a frequent accompaniment to our explorations of the majesty and mystery of the solar system in the years since. Tune in this Thursday night and see what you make of it all.

Over nearly 50 years of making albums, John Prine's been able to turn the sense that he's slightly underappreciated into a trademark. He's the secret favorite everybody can agree on, never quite in the middle of the conversation but always poking around in the corners for a modest truth that will linger after the noise dies down.

I've been going to Arlo Guthrie concerts for the past 40 years, I think I've seen him about 10 times. Most of those shows were after the year 2000, when we had the pleasure of seeing and meeting Arlo at that year's Gamble Rogers Folk festival in St Augustine. But, after Friday night's Re:Generation tour stop at the Plaza Live in Orlando I found myself thinking back to my earliest Guthrie concerts....
